What am I paying for? How our quotes are built

We chose package pricing over hourly rates on purpose. Here's every line that goes into the number you're given.

People are asking themselves: what am I paying for when I'm presented with a quote? As a small business, we have no problem being transparent about our rates and what goes into them.

We made the choice at the beginning of our business journey not to charge hourly rates, for a good reason. Package pricing is more economical. Gone are the days where a price point meant you could expect a service provider to be working for a certain length of time. Now it's quality work with a short turnaround. Quality over quantity — which means less time waiting at home and more time enjoying your day.

But what else goes into quote pricing for a small business? The regular expenses include advertising, materials, insurance, maintaining and fuelling company vehicles, employee wages, WCB coverage and payment machines, just to name a few. All of which have seen price hikes in recent months. Experience, training, knowledge and expertise are factored in too.

The next question is: where is my money going after I pay the invoice? Thankfully the answer is simple. When you support a local small business, your money stays within your community. It's spent on local taxes and local schools, donated to local charities, and spent at local vendors and grocers.

While the cost of literally everything seems to be climbing, we've made a conscious effort not to increase our prices as much as we could, in order to stay true to the promise we made when we began in June 2020. Our goal is and always will be plumbing made affordable. We will absorb as much of the cost inflation as we possibly can, guaranteed. That is our commitment to our community and to our customers.
